I was just thinking about making this post
(GET OUT OF MY HEAD CHARLES ref NSFW)
I saw this over at deadspin, and now it's stuck in my head. The song is kind of catchy, in a bizarre way. The lead singer is this crazy, manic man.
Everything about this band says that they should be the American Keane, but I involuntarily punch myself when I say this out loud

My opinion: A little poppy / over formulaic for the supposed genre. Sound is very, very clean and possibly over produced.
Substance, there isn't any. The lyrics should have ditched even pretending to have meaning and gone the Blink 182 route.
Rhythm - I swear this is ripped off of somewhere, maybe it just goes back to it being over-formulaic.
Verdict: Not horrible, just not good.
What it most reminds me of: AFI (Short lived weren't they?)

You might recognize some of this from the Top Gear Burma special. Man does someone in Top Gear's music department like QOTSA. They're easily the most commonly featured band in their films.

Local band Split Habit (1997-2006). I saw them open up along with The Matches for The Dog and Everything in a church basement a half hour from home. It was a great yet bizarre show all at once.
